About Us

Franklin City Schools is a mid-sized public school district that proudly serves families across the greater Franklin area. With about 2,600 students from the City of Franklin, Franklin Township, and parts of Springboro, Middletown, and Carlisle, our size allows us to offer a wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities while ensuring that each child is known and valued. We believe education is strongest when schools, staff, and families work together in a spirit of collective efficacy and continuous improvement to help every child reach their fullest potential. Together, we are committed to creating safe, innovative schools where academic excellence is expected, individual student needs are supported, students build the skills and knowledge they need for the future, caring adults are always present, and engagement and attendance matter. We work every day to foster Wildcat Pride in our students, staff, families, and community. Our buildings are Schenck Elementary (Preschool and Kindergarten); Gerke Elementary (Grade 1); Hunter Elementary (Grade 2); Franklin Intermediate (Grades 3, 4, and 5); Franklin Junior High School (Grades 6, 7, and 8); and Franklin High School (Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12).
