Board Honors Students for Achievement
The Franklin Board of Education honored three students for achievement at its Feb. 28 Board meeting. Emma Burnett (Hunter) was honored for earning straight As for 10 quarters. Nina Lin (FHS senior) was honored for her ACT scores, which has earned her a spot in the Principal's 30+ Club. Braden Rogers (FHS senior) was honored scoring at the 99% percentile on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test.
Franklin City Schools established the Student Achievement Award in 2001; hundreds of students have been honored since its inception. Student Achievement Committee members include parents, community residents, board members, administrators, and students; they meet during the school year to evaluate nominations which may be submitted by students, teachers, administrators, or community members.
