Good Morning Franklin High School Parents and Families:

Today, at approximately 7 am, Franklin High School Administration received a phone call from a concerned parent about a student potentially having a weapon at school.  In conjunction with the Franklin Police Department, the student was apprehended prior to entering FHS and no weapon was found. The student in question did admit to making comments about a weapon, but never had the intention or means to bring one to school.  Per the Franklin High School Student Handbook, appropriate discipline has been assigned.

It is unfortunate that this is the second time this week we have had to send out this type of message.  We hope this further demonstrates that the safety of the students and staff at Franklin High School is our number one priority, and it is a team effort on a daily basis to ensure all stakeholders are safe.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Franklin High School Main office at 937-743-8610. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Kelli L. Fromm

Principal

Franklin High School
