At approximately 8:30 am this morning, there was an incident involving a student in the main office of our high school campus. By 8:35 am, the main office was evacuated in response to the situation, and the student was detained. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene as a precautionary measure.
There were no weapons involved, and at no point in time was there a threat to other students’ safety. All students and staff that evacuated were safe at all times and accounted for quickly.
We appreciate the exemplary behavior of our students, the professionalism of our office staff, and their adherence to the safety protocols for this situation. We are thankful to the personnel of the Franklin Police Department and Emergency Medical Services, who were on site quickly and assisted with the incident.
