Junior High Virtual Start
Thanks to our generous voters approving a bond issue for all new schools, we are embarking on the district’s biggest facilities project ever. As you can imagine, it has quite a few moving parts and glitches are part of that. One glitch is the completion of the temporary junior high. Due to delays in construction beyond the district’s control, students that attend the junior high will start school on Monday, August 16, REMOTELY. The remainder of the district will start Monday, August 16, face-to-face in buildings. The virtual instruction will last a minimum of one week, but could possibly extend through Labor Day. The district will continue to update you via all social media, website, and Blackboard Connect, the district’s calling system.
It is essential to have accurate contact information on file with the district. This can be updated in Registration Gateway, the district’s online enrollment system. If you do not have access to a computer to complete this, please contact your school or the Welcome Center. The information needed for Registration Gateway can be found below:
- Web address: https://update.franklincityschools.com
- Username: student’s ID number
- Password: Mothers Maiden Name w/ Student Birth Year Ex., Smith2018
More information concerning the junior high virtual instruction including schedules and other specifics is coming. We apologize for the added inconvenience this causes for parents and guardians, but we assure you we are working diligently to get all the details available to you as soon as possible. Please follow our social media accounts and district website for the most up-to-date information.
