Local Government Collaborates with Elementary Students

Students at Pennyroyal Elementary School heard firsthand all the exciting happenings in the City of Franklin! City Manager Jonathan Westendorf and Assistant City Manager Karisa Steed visited the 5th and 6th-grade students to share information about the downtown development and new schools. The visit was a great collaborative effort with the school and the City of Franklin to learn about economics, public and social issues, and local government interactions, all learning targets in the social studies curriculum.
