Franklin High School Students earn honors, awards at Miamisburg Art Show
 
Franklin High School students took a number of prizes, including Best of Show and President's Awards, in the 26th annual Miamisburg Art Gallery student art exhibition. 
 
Franklin students who entered artwork were Cyara Barge, Caitlin Callahan, Mackenzie Centers, Mackenzie Faulkner, Courtney Hook, Lindsey Hurst, Emily McNinch, Alisha Raney, Bella Purdy, Tara Johnson, and Jessica King. Stephanie Strong is the FHS art teacher. 
 
Awards include Best of Show -- Lindsay Hurst; Portrait 4th Place -- Alisha Raney; Portrait Honorable Mentions -- Emily McNinch and Mackenzie Faulkner. President's Award -- Bella Purdy; Still Life 2nd Place -- Tara Johnson and 4th Place -- Mackenzie Faulkner; Animals Honorable Mentions -- Alisha Raney, Bella Purdy, and Courtney Hook. Dimensional Art Project Honorable Mention -- Caitlin Callahan.
 
Participating districts include Carlisle, Franklin, Springboro, Madison, Monroe, Waynesville, Valley View, and Miamisburg. The Art Gallery is at 16 N Main St, Miamisburg. The event is co-sponsored by the Warren County Educational Service Center. Exhibit hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m.Monday and Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.; andWednesdayThursday, and Friday5 to 8 p.m.
 
The show runs through March 25
