  • The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will hold a special meeting on July 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Franklin High School Commons Area on 140 E 6th St, Franklin, OH 45005. The purpose of this meeting is to hold an executive session to discuss personnel and employment matters. No action is anticipated.

Congratulations to Maria Shockley, FHS guidance secretary, for receiving the U.S. Navy's Impactful Influencer Award from the Navy Talent Acquisitions Group Ohio River Valley. Mark A. Carroll, DC1 (SW/AW) U.S. Navy, presented the award to Shockley, for which she was nominated anonymously. Mrs. Shockley has been with Franklin City Schools for more than 30 years, including serving in the guidance office since 1996.  Mrs. Shockley noted that she felt "so honored to have received this special award."
