Franklin High School inducts 40 into National Honor Society
 
Forty students were inducted into the Franklin High School chapter of the National Honor Society on Nov. 21. National Honor Society membership is one of the highest honors that high school students can achieve. Four seniors and 36 juniors were tapped for the honor. NHS recognizes students for outstanding character, scholarship, leadership, and service. Students must have a minimum grade point average and are nominated by teachers.
 
Seniors inducted were Hailey Fickey, Jessica Gollohan, Aiden Kinser, and Taylor Whitman.
 
Juniors inducted were Garvin Adams, Fiona Baker, Jack Biltz, Taylor Cherrington, Jeffrey Davis, Kendall Downs, Dominic Emmett, Molly Eyink, Jesse Ferguson, Jessica Garcia, Ashley Hall, Hannah Hall, Hailey Hamilton, Victoria Hamilton, Samantha Hopper, Addie Imundo, Kennedy Jones, Casey Judy, Brooklyn Kinzer, Andrew Kuntzman, Lexi Lewis, Robert Lipps, Alissa Nicholson, Elizabeth O’Hara, Zachary Osborne, Anish Patel, Isabella Powell, Keely Ratliff, Alexa Repp, Jordan Rogers, Brian Salmons, Holly Thornton, Kristen Torrance, Charles Webber, Kyla Williams, and Colton Wolf.
 
The 2019-20 officers are Alison Perez, president; Elyce Aldridge, vice-president; Kelsea Madden, secretary; and Devant Geter, treasurer. 
 
The group includes 31 additional members who were inducted in 2018. They are Elyce Aldridge, Liz Baker, Allisyn Brinkman, Hannah Cundiff, Tyler Dishun, Kristin Earles, Madison Earles, Samantha Earnhart, Will Emrick, Olivia Faulkner, Pierce Finton, Devant Geter, Haili Groves, Kaylee Harris, Zach Johnson, Jared Kremer, Drew Lawson, Kelsea Madden, Shannia Mangroo, Chloe Miller, Kyra Napier, Sidnie Penny, Alison Perez, Madi Powell, Karsen Quillen, Adriannia Richards, Karlie Rickard, Noah Stephens, Brooke Stover, Ashley Townsend, and Braden Woods.
 
During the ceremony, the NHS chapter also honored two teachers of the year: Holly Daniels, Franklin Junior High; and Zach Katris, Franklin High School.
 
The group's advisors are Haley Arlinghaus and Melissa Edwards.
