Radium Girls
Franklin High School to present Radium Girls
Franklin High School's fall play, Radium Girls, explores the true story of dial painter Grace Fryer, whose fight against her former employer, the U.S. Radium Corporation, changed U.S. labor laws forever. Fryer was one of hundreds of young women who painted watch dials with luminous paint -- work that had gruesome, and fatal, side effects.
