IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Franklin City Schools Board of Education has announced tentative hours of operation for the district’s classroom buildings for the 2024-25 school year. Start and end times may have to be adjusted slightly as transportation routes and times are finalized. We ask that you be flexible with bus schedules for the elementary schools, since we have grade-level buildings for the first time. Building principals will use ParentSquare to notify parents when buses leave the buildings until we get routines established. More specific information about bussing related to routes will follow soon.

The first day of school for students in grades 1-12 is Monday, August 19. Supply lists are available on the district website under each building’s page.

 

Schenck Early Childhood Center, 350 Arlington Ave. Preschool and Kindergarten.

Open House (except preschool): Tuesday, August 20, 5:00-6:30 p.m. 

Preschool open house will be scheduled separately and coordinated by the Preschool Team.

 

Gerke Elementary, 312 Sherman Ave. Grade 1.

Franklin High School's 2024-2025 Freshman Orientation is Tuesday, August 6. This year, both a morning session (9:30-11:00 a.m.) and an afternoon session (12:00-1:30 p.m.) will be offered. Students who are interested in attending this year's Freshmen Orientation should complete the Google Form they received in ParentSquare no later than Friday, August 2, at 12 p.m. Thank you, and we look forward to meeting our new students.
