ACT Plan B Information

Feb 28, 2022
at 11:00 am

Good afternoon FHS Students, Parents and Families:

Due to an issue with the ACT, the ACT test booklets for students that do not receive testing accommodations have not left the warehouse, which means most of our Juniors will NOT be taking the ACT tomorrow.  Here are the logistical changes for tomorrow based on this information:

Grades 9, 10 and 12 will move on with our plans tomorrow as scheduled.

Testing locations for 9th and 10th graders will be posted in the lobby and the bulletin board outside guidance.

Any Junior that receives testing accommodations/extended time will still take their ACT tomorrow (Tuesday March 1st).  We will communicate to those students so they are aware at the beginning of 9th period.  This is approximately 45 students.

We will also send word to the WCCC so they can notify students.

On Tuesday March 1st, any Juniors that do not receive testing accommodations or extended time will have a Remote Learning Day. This same group Juniors will take the ACT on March 15th.  We will communicate specifics about what that looks like once we formulate more specifics on this Plan B.

Teachers with students that are Juniors will post an activity or lesson for them in Google Classroom by 7:30am tomorrow, similar to a Blizzard Bag Assignment.  These will be formative assignments students can complete independently.  These assignments are due to Tuesday March 8th.

Thank you for understanding and patience as we work through this unforeseeable issue.  Once we have worked out specifics about ACT Testing on March 15th, we will communicate that to everyone ASAP.

If you have any questions specific to ACT Testing, please contact the FHS Guidance Office at (937)743-8611 ext. 1228.

Sincerely,
