FHS Class of 2020: Gallery of Graduates

Friday May 15th, 6-8pm

Franklin Community Park

In an effort to continue to celebrate the Class of 2020, we will have an opportunity for our families and community to publicly recognize our graduates on their original graduation date.

This event was developed by FHS Administration, in conjunction with members of the Class of 2020 and the Franklin Police Department.

  • Members of the Class of 2020 will be positioned  at Franklin Community Park in every other parking spot.  Students must remain in their parking spot!
  • Graduates will arrive between 5:15-5:45 pm.
    • Students will enter Franklin Community Park from the State Route 123 entrance across from Hampton Bennett.
  • Graduates are encouraged to wear their cap and gown.
  • One car per graduate.
    • Anyone that rides in the car with the graduate will be required to stay in the car!
  • 6:00-8:00 pm: Family and Community members will drive through the park, having the opportunity to publicly recognize and celebrate the FHS Class of 2020.
    • Family and Community Members MUST enter Franklin Community Park from Franklin Woods and exit the park onto State Route 123 across from Hampton Bennett.
  • Members of the Class of 2020 will be able to stand near their car, sit in the bed or their truck, sit on the back of their convertible...be visible for recognition to families and the community.
  • Following the last car at 8pm, the Class of 2020 will have a processional out of the park.
  • Map of park below, outlining positioning of Franklin Police Department and traffic flow for Gallery of Graduates included below.
  • This does not replace our Virtual Graduation on 6/5/20, or our scheduled in person ceremony at the stadium on 7/30/20.
  • In meeting with the seniors, they would rather wait and receive their diplomas in July than have them distributed during the Gallery of Graduates.
  • All Seniors are welcome to pick up their diplomas in the FHS Main Office the week of May 18th, even if they plan on participating in July.
    • Graduates  can pick-up their diplomas Monday-Friday from 8am-2pm in the FHS Main Office.
    • Please note, diplomas will be held for students that have any outstanding school and/or lunch fees.
