The Board of Education for Franklin City Schools will move the location of its already scheduled meeting for December 9 from the Franklin Junior High Board Room on 750 E 4th St, Franklin, OH 45005 to the Franklin High School Media Center on 140 E 6th St, Franklin, OH 45005.

Good afternoon,

FHS Information for Class of 2020

Note: Anything outlined below that is in person, social distancing will be strictly enforced.  

EOY Information for Class of 2020 Specific to Seniors:

  • Last day for assigning “new” coursework to Seniors is Friday May 1st. 

  • Senior grades are due by 7:30am on Wednesday May 6th.  

  • Thursday May 7th Seniors will have access to FHS from 9:00am-1:00pm for: 

    • Locker Clean-Out

      • Custodians will be on site to assist.  

      • Seniors will be instructed to email teachers, cc’ing Mr. V, if they have items in teachers classrooms.  

        • Seniors will not be permitted to enter classrooms to retrieve items. 

    • Pick-up Meds

      • Tabitha Roberts will be here to distribute meds that need returned.  

    • Pick-up their Cap and Gown 

      • Herff Jones will be on site to distribute.

      • This is for students who attend FHS full-time and our students that attend WCCC.  

    • Pick-up Senior T-shirts 

      • Paid for by the Mears and Daniels families, and FHS Principal’s Account.

    • Pick-up one last FHS School Lunch 

      • Lovingly prepared by our kitchen staff under the leadership of Mrs. Bishop

    • Opportunity to pay outstanding School and Lunch Fees

      • Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Feltner will be in the office to process fee payments.  

      • Updated fee letters were mailed home Tuesday 4/28/2020

  • Senior Awards will be livestreamed on Friday May 15th at 1:00pm

  • Week of May 11th, we will schedule times for students to come in wearing their Cap and Gown to get a picture with the FHS administration.  

  • Seniors can pick-up diplomas in the FHS Main Office Tues/Thurs. from 9:00am-12:00pm starting May 19th.  

Virtual Graduation set for Friday June 5th at 7:00pm

  • We will be using the Virtual Platform via Herff Jones 

  • FCS will have a “landing page” where students can upload videos and other information.

    • Students will have the opportunity to individually upload videos and pictures .  

      • Note: Any material submitted will be subject to administrative approval. 

      • PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL DAILY so you have all the information needed to submit information for this ceremony.  

  • Students chosen to give speeches will also upload those online.  

  • Virtual Graduation Ceremony will be posted online June 5th at 7:00pm

An in person celebration is tentatively set for Thursday July 30th at 7:00pm at Stadium

  • While we hope to have this event, we want people to be prepared that this may not be feasible if social distancing guidelines and bans on large group gatherings are still in place.  

  • If we are able to host this event, please know that graduates will be limited to two guests.  

  • Students can keep their cap and gown until after this event.  If the event is cancelled, they will return them the first week of August to the FHS Main Office.  

  • If a student does not return their gown, the charge from Herff Jones is around $300, charged to the student.
