Press Release | July 8, 2020

FRANKLIN, OH - Regrettably, Franklin City Schools and Franklin High School are announcing the cancellation of our in-person graduation ceremony scheduled for July 30th, 2020.  This decision was made after considering the current state of the COVID-19 Pandemic, as well as guidelines from the State of Ohio limiting large group gatherings to less than 300 people.

Student and public safety are the top priority of both Franklin High School and Franklin City Schools.  While this decision is made with sad hearts for the students and families of the Franklin High School Class of 2020, we feel that the public safety and health risks outweigh our desire to move forward with an in-person graduation ceremony.

Members of the Class of 2020, specific information about returning gowns and picking up diplomas will be shared via email later this week.
