Board of Education Meetings:

  • Work Sessions will be held the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Franklin Junior High School Board Room.
  • Regular Board Meetings will be held the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Franklin High School Media Center.
  • No Work Session Meeting scheduled in July or December.
  • Next meeting: April 14, 6 p.m., Franklin Junior High School Board Room.

 

Town Hall Meeting: April 15, 6:30 to 8 p.m., FHS Commons. Questions and answers with the Superintendent and Treasurer.

Franklin Drama Club is a school organization dedicated to producing entertaining and educational high school theatre. Membership is open to all students in grades 9-12 at Franklin High School with an interest in the performing arts.

MEAN GIRLS: HIGH SCHOOL EDITION

Franklin High School Drama and Music Departments will present MEAN GIRLS: HIGH SCHOOL EDITION May 2-4, 2025.

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

Adapted from Fey's hit 2004 film, Mean Girls was nominated for a staggering 12 Tony Awards.

FHS Drama Club wins 33 MVHSTA awards

FHS’s drama program received 33 awards at the Miami Valley High School Theatre Awards Showcase on May 30. The event celebrated student achievement in theatre in our region during the 2023-2024 school year. Per their website, “The Tony Awards®-inspired showcase honored schools, students, and directors for artistic excellence in high school theatre with live performances from local high schools and a tribute to the enthusiasm, dedication, and accomplishments of the area’s vibrant high school theatre programs.” Thirty area high schools are MVHSTA members.
FHS productions earned the following awards:
 
- Outstanding Production of a Musical: “Mamma Mia!”
- Outstanding Production of a Play: “Trap” and “Murder on the Orient Express”
- Outstanding Ensemble in a Musical: “Mamma Mia!”
- Outstanding Ensemble in a Play: “Murder on the Orient Express”
- Merit for Ensemble in a Play: “Trap”
Outstanding Awards
- Lucas Wortylko: Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical for “Mamma Mia!”
- Aullie Allen: Outstanding Student Lighting Design of a Musical for “Mamma Mia!”
- Aullie Allen: Outstanding Student Lighting Design of a Play for “Murder on the Orient Express”
- Isadore Karrick: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play for the “Murder on Orient Express” and “Trap”
