Welcome to Franklin High School, recognized as a School of Promise by the Ohio Department of Education.  Franklin High School serves the small town of Franklin, Ohio located between Dayton and Cincinnati.  The district also covers parts of Franklin Township and parts of Middletown, Ohio. We are a school of 900 students and 45 instructional staff.  Our student body is split between two campuses with 800 students attending Franklin High School and another 100 student attending the Warren County Career Center.  

Franklin High School dedicates itself to preparing our students for the world and life outside of high school.  This means challenging our students academically in order to equip them for college, the military, or employment.  Our staff also prides itself on continual improvement.  To facilitate our growth, FHS is a member of the High Schools That Work school improvement network.  The high school also supports the professional development of staff through a variety of national, state, county, and district-wide PD opportunities.

Franklin High School offers a wide variety of advanced academic programs.  We offer AP courses in US History, Government, Chemistry, Calculus, Spanish, and French.  We also offer College Credit Plus courses with our partner institution, Sinclair Community College.  This opportunity allows our students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously while at Franklin High School.  CCP course offerings include: English IV, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Spanish, French, Theater Appreciation, Psychology, and Sociology.  A number of our students also attend classes on several local college campuses: Miami University at Middletown and Sinclair Community College - Courseview Campus.  Finally, Franklin High School is partnered with the Warren Country Career Center to provide our students with an extensive pre-Engineering program (Project Lead The Way).  Working from our engineering lab, FHS students can take courses in engineering, digital electronics, and architecture.  

The FHS fine arts program has an innovative curriculum as well.  We offer courses in piano, dance, crafts, drawing, and painting in addition to standard courses in art, instrumental music, and vocal music.  Students may also take courses in Music Theory, History of Rock and Roll, and Show Choir.  Led by dedicated staff, our theatre program is recognized for its excellence.  The program showcases two plays and one musical production annually.  These efforts are further supported through course offerings in Drama, Theatre Appreciation, and Choir.

FHS offers extensive academic support to students.  Advisory period occurs daily k to provide students with extra academic guidance from advisory teachers.  Teachers regularly stay after school to assist students through our academic intervention program.  The guidance department dedicates itself to supporting the academic and emotional needs of our students.  This includes helping our students prepare for the post-secondary world.  Extra help is part of the culture at FHS.

Franklin High School works to provide our students with the advanced technologies they need to be successful.  Currently, the school has one stationary computer lab, two teaching labs, four mobile labs, classroom iPads, Smart Boards in all classrooms, fully equipped media center, and an expanding wireless network.  The high school also uses Google educational applications extensively to foster staff and student collaboration.  

Franklin High School is home to a successful athletic program built on tradition.  As a member of the Southwestern Buckeye League (SWBL) athletic conference, our student athletes have enjoyed great success.
