Principal's Message

Alicia Mailhot

Dear Franklin Junior High School Families,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the Principal of Franklin Junior High School for the 2023-2024 school year. This is my sixth year in Franklin City Schools. I served as the Assistant Principal of the Junior High for four years and Principal for one year. I have enjoyed getting reacquainted with this community. I grew up in Franklin and am a former student of Franklin Junior High School and Gerke Elementary.

My personal mission is to create a warm and welcoming environment for all students and staff in our building. We strive to develop students as good people, good learners and good citizens of our community. We hope to stoke curiosity in our students and give them all the tools they need to become successful in whatever path they choose. We focus not only on academics, but also on teaching students the behaviors of Respect, Ownership, having a positive Attitude, and Responsibility. You will be hearing a lot about ROAR throughout your time here at FJHS.
