Principal's Message

Dear families and community members,

Welcome to Franklin Junior High School!

Franklin Junior High School is a place where everyone is welcomed, accepted and appreciated.  We have a very talented staff who is committed to serving our 425 seventh and eighth grade students and providing them with a world-class education.  We work proactively to develop and sustain meaningful partnerships with families and community members to ensure students’ personal growth.  We look forward to providing students with a variety of learning experiences to help them reinforce their own sense of pride, confidence and respect in themselves.  We hope every student will continue to strengthen their individual understanding of who they are as a person and how to value their place and the place of others in this world.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our families, community members and alumni.  Your support has presented us with the great opportunity of providing new schools for our students.  As we prepare for our new learning environments, we are also excited for what the more immediate future holds.  Over the next two years, we will be operating out of modular classrooms.  This transition will likely present both challenges and opportunities.  Regardless of what we are faced with, we will continue to work hard on a daily basis to ensure students receive unique, challenging and well-rounded learning experiences.  It is our hope that each student will one day reflect on their time at Franklin Junior High School as a time that helped them develop into strong, kind, honest and responsible members of society.

On a personal note, my name is Michael Voynovich and I am entering my seventeenth year as an educator and my fifth year in Franklin City Schools.  I am so excited to begin serving the Franklin community as the Principal at Franklin Junior High School!  We have a phenomenal team at FJHS and I’m thrilled to work with them as we partner with you to provide our students with innovative and meaningful learning experiences.

I invite you to reach out to me or anyone on our team at any time.  I look forward to hearing from you.  In the meantime, take care and GO WILDCATS!

Michael P. Voynovich, M.Ed.
