As required by ORC 3313.666, twice a year, school districts are required to provide the president of the board of education with a written summary of all reported harassment, intimidation and bullying incidents, as well as post the written summary on the district website. 
 
Bullying can be defined as a person being  "exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons, and having difficulty defending himself or herself."
 
During the first semester of the 2021-22 school year there were 6 incidents of harassment, bullying, intimidation at George H. Gerke Elementary School.
  1. Two students sent threatening text messages outside of school hours- threatening to hurt the student the next day at school.
  2. A student became frustrated/angry and threatened another student.
  3. A student made an inappropriate threatening gesture to another student.
  4. A student was trying to intimidate another student and shoulder checked him hard in the face.
  5. A student threatened to hurt other students in the cafeteria during breakfast.
  6. A student became frustrated/angry and threatened his teacher.

During the second semester of the 2021-22 school year there were a total of 4 incidents of harassment, bullying, intimidation at George H. Gerke Elementary.

  1. There were 4 separate incidents where a student harassed, as well as attempted to intimidate another student.
