Principal's Message

Mrs. Trusdell

Hello,

I want to warmly welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year. As your principal, it is my sincere pleasure to work with this strong, dedicated, and caring staff and community to help provide excellent educational opportunities for all students.

Although I am new to Hunter Elementary, I have enjoyed a lengthy career in education, spending the first half as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher, as well as a reading intervention specialist, and the second half working in central office and building administration. I am beginning my ninth year with Franklin City Schools as a principal, and am both honored and excited to be at Hunter Elementary. I am committed to ensuring that Hunter children receive the best support to learn and grow.

My vision for Hunter is to ensure that students have educational experiences that
provide a safe, productive, and nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, each and every day, inspire and motivate all to be lifelong learners, foster responsibility and kindness, and develop caring contributors to the world in which we live.

Families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play an important part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can make a positive difference. I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child, and I wish your family, and especially your student, great success this school year.

Sincerely,
Ms. Kienle
