Principal's Message

Mrs. Truesdell

Hello Schenck Elementary Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back to Wm. C. Schenck Elementary School.  We have several changes in our building this year.  The biggest being that we are welcoming Franklin’s Preschool Program to our school building.  There will be two preschool classrooms holding AM and PM sessions on site Tuesday - Friday.  This also resulted in a change to the number of classrooms in grades Kindergarten, 4, and 5.  We will only have one class in each of these grade levels this year.  While we will miss the teachers who have left us, I am excited to welcome our district’s littlest learners to our environment.

It is our goal in Franklin City Schools to provide a safe and supportive learning environment so that all students can grow, develop, and learn to their fullest potential.  At Schenck, we will continue to use the R. O. A. R.  acronym as a reminder of the building wide expectations.

The district is moving to a new Parent Communication System called Parent Square this school year.  More details will be shared about this communication system as we are trained.  Until then, I will continue to use email as a primary means of communication for school wide weekly messages.  Please make sure your preferred email address is up to date in Progressbook so that you are included in these messages.

I look forward to another great year of helping students to be the best that they can be by working together as a team!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Truesdell
